Photos from Germany Week

Goethe-Institut Chicago is keeping me very busy this year. Last week, as part of the aforementioned Wunderbar Together Year of German-American Friendship, Goethe hosted Germany Week in downtown Chicago’s Daley Plaza. The event featured a host of discussions, performances, exhibits, and events celebrating the relationship between the two countries.

They tapped me to photograph three events; the first was an aspirational TED talk-esque presentation about strategies of sustainable development by Ann Rosenberg, Sr. VP, Global Head of SAP Next-Gen; the second was a panel discussion about development of a skilled workforce in the digital economy, featuring Siemens USA CEO Barbara Humpton; the third was a Piano Battle performed by virtuoso German pianists Andreas Kern and Paul Cibis.
